Referee Courses in Ewingsdale and Alstonville

8 Feb 2023 from Football Far North Coast

Football Far North Coast is urging current and past players, coaches and supporters (including parents) to take up the whistle in 2023, with more people required to become a referee (match official) to cover the expanding number of games across the Far North Coast.

Our next course is being held in Ewingsdale on 18 February to target individuals in the coastal areas particularly, where player participation is increasing, however match official numbers are in decline. For those living in the coastal areas, there are even more opportunities to officiate on matches ‘close to home’, so we encourage people living in Ballina, Bangalow, Byron Bay/Suffolk Park, Eureka, Lennox Head, Mullumbimby, Ocean Shores, Pottsville, Uki and surrounding areas to register for a course and become a referee.

There is also a course to be held on 18 March at Alstonville, that will be for females only. The aim of the all-female course is to further encourage women and girls to become a referee in 2023.

There is NO COST to participants for attending a course and new match officials receive all gear and equipment required to start officiating.
